Eight arrested, charged in large heroin ring in Frederick County

FREDERICK, Md. - A grand jury indicted eight members of a criminal drug organization for several drug related crimes in Frederick County.

Authorities in Frederick County said during the large bust, they confiscated Heroin, Fentanyl, Cocaine, Marijuana, Crack Cocaine, various prescription narcotics, approximately $4,500.00 in U.S. currency, 18 firearms, and four vehicles.

Those charged were Colby Lewis, 24, Alexandra Kastner, 27, Deandre Coplin, 27, Brett Carpenter, 35, Ronald Dinges, 56, Alante Williams, 23, Jocelyn Appleby, 26 and Brett Demeza, 35. A ninth suspect, Lauren Gardner, 32, was charged in connection with the investigation in May.

One of the individuals, Alexandra Kastner, is currently wanted by the Frederick Police Department and the Frederick County Sheriff's Office, in connection to the investigation.
