Dry ice to be used in new DC rat abatement program

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser will take another step towards decreasing the rodent population in the District.

The mayor is set to participate in a community walk in Ward 6 this afternoon where she will demonstrate an innovative rat abatement tactic using dry ice.

The use of dry ice has led to a 95 percent reduction in rodent activity in Boston and has also been used in cities like Chicago and New York.
