Dry ice to be used in new DC rat abatement program
WASHINGTON - D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser will take another step towards decreasing the rodent population in the District.
The mayor is set to participate in a community walk in Ward 6 this afternoon where she will demonstrate an innovative rat abatement tactic using dry ice.
The use of dry ice has led to a 95 percent reduction in rodent activity in Boston and has also been used in cities like Chicago and New York.
