Double shooting leaves 2 women injured in southeast DC

WASHINGTON - Police are investigating a double shooting in the District that left two women injured.

The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the 5000 block of Bass Place in the southeast.

Both victims were conscious and breathing when they were taken to an area hospital and both are expected to recover.

Police have released no information regarding suspect or motive.
