Dog found abandoned in DC trash can has died
WASHINGTON - A dog found abandoned in a northeast D.C. trash can has died. The Yorkie-mix was found in a residential trash can in an alley between Meade Street and Lane Place on Oct. 20.
The Humane Rescue Alliance had offered a $2,000 reward for information that could help find the person responsible for dumping the dog.
The animal shelter said the dog was in very poor health and had to be euthanized.
