DC teen charged in gas station attack on transgender woman

WASHINGTON - A 17-year-old from Northwest D.C. has been arrested in connection with the attack and robbery of a transgender woman at a gas station.

The incident occurred around 3:20 a.m. in the 3800 block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast.

The suspect reportedly approached the victim and verbally abused her before the attack.

After they stole property from the woman, the suspects ran away.

Police did not say whether the other suspects were in custody or not.
