DC Special Elections: Brandon Todd wins Ward 4 seat; Barry far behind in Ward 8 race

It appears Christopher Barry will not follow in his father's footsteps as a leader of Ward eight in Washington, D.C.

A special election for the D.C. council seat was held Tuesday.

The latest results show LaRuby May in the lead of the race with more 26-percent of the vote.

Trayon White has almost 25 percent and Marion Christopher Barry holds just seven percent of the vote.

It's much more clear cut in ward four where Brandon Todd is the winner.

Todd got 42 percent of the vote in a field of 13 candidates to take the seat left open when Muriel Bowser was elected mayor.
