DC police looking for suspect after Northwest shooting

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) -- D.C. police are looking for a suspect after a man was shot in Northwest minutes after midnight.

According to police, the victim was shot in the 1400 block of Girard Street, and then ran to the 2900 block of 14th Street.

Police do not believe the victim's injuries are life-threatening.

Investigators are looking for a male suspect with a light complexion who stands 6-feet tall.

They say the suspect has dreadlocks and tattoos, and he was wearing dark clothing and riding a bicycle.
