DC police investigating 7th homicide in 7 days
WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - The District's violent start to 2019 continued on Monday as D.C. police began investigating the seventh homicide in seven days.
According to police, a Northwest D.C. man who was shot on Sunday night succumbed to his injuries on Monday.
Police began investigating when they responded to a reported shooting in the 200 block of V Street, Northwest around 8 p.m. on Sunday.
When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds.
They've identified the victim as 25-year-old Damon Dukes of Northwest D.C.
