WASHINGTON - Police are looking for a driver who reportedly struck a man in a wheelchair on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, SE, and then drove off Tuesday afternoon.
The victim is in critical condition after being airlifted to a local hospital.
According to D.C. police, they responded to the intersection with Mellon Street, SE, at around 4:56 p.m.
They said the man is conscious and breathing, but did not elaborate on seriousness of his injuries.
