WASHINGTON - A D.C. police cruiser that was struck by a vehicle in the Northwest was responding to a double shooting, authorities say.

The crash happened near Florida Avenue and 9th Street around midnight on October 31. The officer suffered minor injuries. No injuries were reported to the driver of the passenger vehicle.

Police say the officer was responding to a double shooting on 8th and V Street when the crash happened. Investigators say two men suffered non-life-threatening injuries in that shooting.
