DC motorists rank near bottom of list in 2016 America's Best Drivers Report

Allstate Insurance is out with its 2016 America's Best Drivers Report - and out of 200 major U.S. cities rated, D.C. ranks as the 197th safest.

According to the report, D.C. drivers go about 4.9 years between accidents and have a 106.2% relative collision likelihood.

The report also says a D.C. driver experiences 17 braking events per 1000 miles.

Baltimore didn't do much better - ranking just below the District as the 198 safest driving city.

Virginia drivers in Virginia Beach ranked as the 74th safest driving city - up from 94th last year.

The top five safest driving cities in the U.S. were

1. Brownsville, TX
2. Kansan City, KS
3. Madison, WI
4. Cape Coral, FL
5. Boise, ID

The worst drivers? Boston, Massachusetts!
