DC firefighter faces gun charge following Sunday arrest

A D.C. firefighter faces charges after police say they found weapons and marijuana inside of a car he was driving in Prince George's County.

The incident happened Sunday night in the 1700 block of Kenilworth Ave. in Capitol Heights.

Officers say 21-year-old Oshane Roland Jones was questioned by officers after his car was allegedly spotted illegally parked in a handicapped spot and blocking a portion of a sidewalk.

Police say they smelled marijuana near the vehicle and noticed an ammunition clip when Jones, and two other occupants exited the vehicle.

Two guns, the ammunition clip, ski masks, gloves and marijuana were all found in the vehicle.

Jones is a two-year veteran of the D.C. fire department and was placed on administrative leave. He faces gun charges. Another occupant, 22-year-old Antonio Marquette Hensley, also faces gun charges related to the incident.
