DC construction worker dead after eight-story fall

WASHINGTON - D.C. fire officials say a construction worker was killed after falling eight stories to the ground on Thursday.

The accident happened at a construction site on N Street NE. Emergency crews were called around 2:10 p.m.

A D.C. Fire and EMS spokesperson confirmed the construction worker's passing, and said D.C. police were investigating. There's no word yet on what led to the fall.
