DC begins 'enhanced enforcement' on illegally parked vehicles in Dupont Circle area

D.C.'s Department of Transportation is cracking down on drivers who violate no parking zones in Dupont Circle.

Between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., drivers are not allowed to park on Connecticut Avenue between Rhode Island Avenue northwest and Dupont Circle.

It's part of a program that went into effect in October 2017 to increase pedestrian safety.

DDOT says it will start towing cars that are illegally parked in the pick up and drop off zones beginning on Thursday.
