Cops ID drunk driving suspect who crashed into 10 vehicles, hid on Five Guys roof

The Stafford County Sheriff's Office has identified a man who allegedly crashed into 10 vehicles in the Stafford Marketplace parking lot and then climbed up a 20-foot pipe to hide in the A/C unit on the roof of a Five Guys location.

According to the sheriff's office, the suspect, 37-year-old James Edward Baumann, was driving a stolen pickup truck hauling another stolen pickup truck when the incident erupted.

They say he was wanted in three counties - including Stafford County, Prince William County and Spotsylvania County.

Four of the 10 vehicles Baumann reportedly struck were occupied, and several people needed to be taken to a local hospital.

The Stafford County Sheriff's Office says the incident was reported around 9:58 a.m. on Monday.

Baumann is currently jailed without bail. Officials say multiple charges are pending.
