Cooler temps Wednesday with scattered showers possible; thunderstorms likely Friday

Cooler temperatures Wednesday with hit-and-miss showers later this afternoon and evening. FOX 5's Mike Thomas says the day will start warm but won't heat up as much as temperatures did on Tuesday.

The day will stay fairly mild with temperatures in the 60s and 70s. The threat of showers begins later this afternoon - particularly south of D.C. More light showers will spread across the metro region as we move into the evening hours.

More scattered showers expected on Thursday and thunderstorms are likely during the evening hours Friday. Saturday should stay mostly dry but expect Sunday to be wet for most of the day!
