WASHINGTON - The closures of the Reagan National Airport and Crystal City Metro stations for track work is causing major issues for travelers riding on Metro as well as commuters trying to get to the airport during the evening rush Friday night.
In order to bypass the Metro stations that will be closed until Tuesday, shuttle buses are being provided at the Braddock Road, Reagan National Airport, Crystal City and Pentagon City stations.
Metro riders ended up encountering huge lines for these shuttles.
However, patience was running thin for many.
The residual effects of the Metro station closures were being felt on the roads as well. Reagan National Airport officials warned riders about battling traffic congestion while heading to the airport by vehicle.
