Cole Field House to host last event before major renovation

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - A University of Maryland venue will host its last event before a major renovation Monday.

The William P. Cole, Jr. Student Activities Building (commonly known as the Cole Field House) will hold the Maryland State Wrestling championships at 4:30 p.m. Monday.

The building will undergo a multi-million dollar expansion and renovation that is expected to take several years.

The Cole Field House was home to the University of Maryland basketball teams from 1955 until it was replaced by the XFINITY Center in 2002.
