Cheers to the Weekend: Lion's Paw - Smoke and Barrel

We are saying "Cheers to the weekend!" This week, executive chef and pit master Logan McGear from Smoke and Barrel in Adams Morgan joined us to show us how to whip up a "Lion's Paw."

Cocktail: Lion's Paw

Recipe:

Chill a collins glass.

In a shaker pint:

- 2 oz bulleit bourbon
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 1/2 oz allspice dram
- 1/2 oz apple-cider vinegar
- 2 dashes angostura bitters
- 2 dashes Scrappy's orange bitters

Fill with ice and shake for about 15-20 seconds. We're looking for thorough mixing and good dilution. Add 2 large ice cubes in the collins glass. Double strain into the glass, garnish with a long orange peel.
