CAVA to hold job fair to help former Taylor Gourmet employees looking for work

After Taylor Gourmet locations around the D.C. area abruptly closed down this weekend, another fast-casual restaurant chain is looking to help those employees now without a job.

CAVA will be hosting a job fair Tuesday at its Chinatown location in D.C. (707 H Street, NW) and at its Mosaic District location in Fairfax (2905 District Avenue) from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

"These will be open interviews where any Taylor team member can walk-in and meet with a CAVA Manager," said Ben Famous, head of strategic communications and brand marketing for CAVA. "We strongly encourage candidates to apply in advance at: www.cava.com/careers. We will be interviewing for the following positions: team member, grill, and management positions for restaurant locations throughout DC, MD, and VA."

Taylor Gourmet shut down the doors to all of its 17 locations in the D.C. region along with its other two in Chicago. The hoagie and sandwich chain faced backlash last year after owner Casey Patten attended a small business roundtable meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House last year.

The chain reportedly had a private equity firm pull out of the company and Chapter 7 bankruptcy is imminent, according to Washingtonian.
