Car, FedEx truck collide on ICC in Maryland

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. - A car collided with a FedEx truck on the ICC in Maryland Thursday night, forcing the closure of several lanes and sending two people to the hospital.

Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services spokesman Pete Piringer tweeted that the crash happened along the ICC near Layhill Road. The car involved caught fire, but emergency crews were able to put the flames out.

Two people were taken to the hospital and one of them was seriously hurt, according to a tweet from Piringer.

Traffic was shut down in some lanes as a result of the crash.
