Car crashes into condo building in Montgomery County

Three people have been injured after a vehicle crashed into a condominium in Damascus, fire officials say.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service Pete Piringer tweeted that the crash happened at around 3:45 p.m. Friday at a three-story garden-style building located in the 26000 block of Brigadier Place. Two people inside the building along with the driver of the car were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The building was evacuated and a building inspector responded to the scene after the crash to assess the damage. One family has been displaced while the remaining residents have been allowed to reoccupy their units. The vehicle was later removed from the building, according to Piringer.
