Caller who made false report about active shooter at DOJ says she was informed through telepathy

A false report of an active shooter situation at the Department of Justice building in Washington D.C. was apparently sparked by a caller who said she was informed through telepathy that a shooting was going to take place.

According to a D.C. police report, a dispatcher received a phone call at around 4:34 p.m. Monday from a person in Massachusetts who said there were three unknown suspects inside the building that was going to cause an active shooter situation.

This led to a huge police response as D.C. police officers and Department of Justice officers rushed to conduct a walkthrough of the building. However, they did not find any suspects or any evidence of a shooting.

Police called the person back for more information about the active shooter tip. The police report states she then told police that she had been contacted by another person through telepathy telling her that there would be a shooting at the DOJ building.

After the shooting report was determined to be unfounded, police would later give the all-clear at the scene.
