Body of 22-year-old man found in Montgomery Village

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, Md. - A passerby found the body of a 22-year-old man in a wooded area Monday afternoon, Montgomery County police said.

Someone discovered the body in the 18200 block of Contour Road in Montgomery Village around 12:45 p.m. Monday and called 911. The investigation is taking place between a neighborhood of townhomes and South Lake Elementary School. There were no classes at the school on Monday.

Detectives have not said how the unidentified victim died, and they are not sure whether foul play was involved.

However, police said the case is not related to the death of a transgender woman who was killed nearby about two weeks ago.
