Body found in channel between Roosevelt Island and Virginia shoreline

WASHINGTON - D.C. fire crews have located a body in the channel between Roosevelt Island and the Virginia shoreline. The body was found in the water around 6:48 a.m.

Emergency crews are working to recover the body at this time.
