Athletic clothing company apologizes after 'Give This Jersey to Your Woman - It's Her Job' care
An athletic clothing manufacturer is feeling the heat online after apparently suggesting women should be responsible for the laundering of their men's dirty sports apparel.
One picture showing a Salvo Sports jersey's care instruction reads ‘Give This Jersey To Your Woman - It's Her Job.' Another similar message on another care instruction tag reads ‘Give It To Your Woman - It's Her Job.'
According to an online article by The Independent, the company posted an apology on Twitter Sunday that read in part, "The message is simply, instead of washing it in the wrong way, you might as well give it to a lady because they are more capable."
