Arrest in Racist Calls Targeting Kennesaw Restaurant Owner

Police have made an arrest in the vicious racist bullying of a Kennesaw business owner. Police confirm their suspect is just 16 years old and they think there could be more arrests in this case.

Pigs-N-Heat restaurant owner Hollis Morris said he was being harassed by someone claiming to be a member of the Ku Klux Klan.

"They've made five or six calls with the same threat, calling us the N-word, leave Kennesaw. We don't want you here. You're not welcome here," said Morris.

The messages are laced with profanity and racial slurs. Morris and his daughter opened the restaurant in Kennesaw eight months ago.

Morris said the first threatening call came early November. Then, when he arrived to open the restaurant for business just days later, Morris found signs posted on the front and back doors of the building stating: "N-word you're not welcome in Kennesaw. Leave."

Morris said, "I think it was serious. By the tone of their voice, and repeatedly doing, calling and leaving a note, I took it to be very serious."

Concerned for his daughter's safety, and the safety of his customers, Morris met with police investigators last Wednesday.

Morris told FOX 5 News he has no clue why his business was targeted, but he believes the people of Kennesaw are good people and he plans to keep his doors open.
