Army-Navy Game: Annapolis bursting with excitement ahead of rivalry matchup
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Army-Navy game-a rivalry that is over a century old-kicks off on Saturday afternoon.
FOX 5’s Stephanie Ramirez couldn’t find any Army fans in downtown Annapolis– but found plenty of Navy supporters on the streets ready for the big game.
Some people aren’t able to go because tickets are too expensive but they will be watching!
Army and Navy have combined to win 19 of 23 games this season and re-emerged as nationally relevant college football programs.
For the first time since 2017, the two military academies are both going to a bowl game. The Army Black Knights are ranked 19th in the country after winning the American Athletic Conference. Navy will face Oklahoma in the Armed Forces Bowl to cap its first winning season since 2019.
But bowl games come in second when your team is part of a 125-year-old rivalry.
Kickoff is at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Northwest Stadium. The weekend leading up to the game is full of special events.
