Armed suspects carjack Uber driver in Montgomery County, police say

Police are searching for four suspects who reportedly carjacked an Uber driver in Montgomery County, officials say.

According to police, the 25-year-old driver picked up four people in the 11300 block of Cushman Road in Rockville Friday afternoon. However, during the ride, they ordered the driver to stop the car and get out. Two of the suspects were armed with handguns.

After the victim complied with the demand, he was able to flag down a passing vehicle and contact police around 5:17 p.m., police say. Officers would locate the Uber driver at Marcliff Road and Tuckerman Road in North Bethesda.

Montgomery County police say the suspects are described as four young black males. They are also continuing to search for the Uber driver's vehicle, which is described as a black four-door Honda Civic with Maryland license plate - 6CP2924.
