Armed suspect robs Woodbridge bank

An armed suspect robbed a BB&T Bank in Woodbridge Tuesday morning, Prince William County police said.

Officers responded to the bank in the 12400 block of Dillingham Square at around 11:30 a.m. The robbery happened while funeral services were being held for slain Prince William County Officer Ashley Guindon about four miles away at Hylton Memorial Chapel.

Witnesses told police that a male suspect with a knife entered the bank, jumped the counter and demanded cash from the teller.

Police said after getting an unknown amount of cash in a white grocery bag, the suspect fled the bank heading eastbound into the woods along Old Bridge Road.

The suspect is described as a black male approximately 17 to 18 years old. He stood about 5'11" and was last seen wearing a shoulder-length dark red wig, a black hooded sweatshirt, dark-wash blue jeans and light gray, worn-out tennis shoes. He was also described wearing metal in his mouth.
