Anti-gay graffiti painted on sidewalk in Dupont Circle

A sidewalk was spray-painted with an apparent anti-gay message outside of a restaurant in Dupont Circle.

The words, "Down with the gay agenda," was found painted in blue Sunday morning in front of the Thaiphoon restaurant in the 2000 block of S Street in Northwest D.C.

Upset over the message, a local restaurant worker painted "gun" in red over the word "gay" on Monday afternoon, according to the Washington Post. On Twitter, Dito Sevilla wrote he was the one who altered the original graffiti with the red spray paint.

D.C. police are investigating the graffiti and are looking at surveillance camera footage from a TD Bank across from the restaurant.
