Anne Arundel County man violently beats his mother to death, police say

MILLERSVILLE, Md. - An Anne Arundel County man violently attacked his mother and beat her to death, according to officials.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department said they were called to the scene in the 8200 block of Daniels Purchase Way in Millersville at about 4:25 p.m. on Saturday.

The caller told police that Torian Mack, who lived at the home on Daniels Purchase Way with his mother Rhonda Mack-Dickerson, had just called and said he'd attack his mother and she was unconscious.

When authorities arrived at the scene they found blood near the rear sliding glass door. Officers entered the home and found the 53-year-old woman dead on the floor. Investigators said it appeared that Rhonda Mack-Dickerson had been violently assaulted.

Torian Mack, 23, was also found in the home, according to officials. Authorities said they learned there was a verbal fight between Torian Mack and his mother before he violently attacked her. An autopsy revealed Rhonda Mack-Dickerson died as the result of multiple injuries to her head and neck, according to officials.

Torian Mack was arrested and has been charged with murder, police confirmed.
