Aberdeen man charged in murder of Prince George's County DJ

HYATTSVILLE, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - A 21-year-old Aberdeen man was trying to rob a Prince George's County D.J. when he shot and killed her on Tuesday, according to investigators.

Prince George's County police announced on Friday that they have charged Alexander Maskiewicz of Ventura Way in connection with the death of 27-year-old Salina Rivera of Belcrest Road.

Police began investigating when they found Rivera suffering from a gunshot in walkway on Belcrest Road.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

They believe Maskiewicz shot her during a drug deal.
