911 call released on baby found abandoned in Anne Arundel County

Authorities have released the recording of a 911 call from a woman who found a baby girl abandoned on the side of a road in Anne Arundel County.

The 6-week-old baby was found on Druid Hill Avenue in Pasadena by the resident late Saturday night. She said the child was all alone in a car carrier.

"There's a baby in our street and no one is around and the baby just started crying," said the 911 caller.

In the emergency call, the woman said the baby did not appear injured and there was a baby bag with the girl. You can hear the infant crying throughout the call.

The baby's 26-year-old mother, Sandra Clara McClary, of Baltimore, has been charged with child neglect and reckless endangerment.

Anne Arundel County police say McClary called them on Sunday morning identifying herself as the baby's mother and told them the child's father was supposed to have the infant.

However, after getting a partial license plate tag of a vehicle located in the area where the baby girl was located, investigators determined the mother removed the baby from the vehicle and abandoned her on the side of the street.

The child is in the care of social services.
