8 students suffer possible overdoses at DC high school, officials say

WASHINGTON - Eight students from a high school in the District were treated after suffering from possible overdoses on Friday, according to officials.

D.C. Fire and EMS said they responded to Woodrow Wilson High School in Tenleytown in the District at about noon.

Officials told FOX 5 that seven students were taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries while another student was treated at the scene.

Kimberly Martin, the principal of Woodrow Wilson High School, said in a statement to parents, "This afternoon, several of our students became ill at school. Following proper protocols, we immediately contacted Emergency Medical Services, and the students were referred to the appropriate medical officials."
