7 hurt in multi-vehicle crash in Prince George's County

BELTSVILLE, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - An early morning crash involving multiple vehicles in Prince George's County has left seven injured and caused major delays Friday morning.

The crash was reported around 2:24 a.m. at Powder Mill Road and Beltsville Drive. Officials say two people were extracted from the vehicles and a total of seven patients were transported from the scene.

Authorities say two of the injuries are considered serious and life threatening. Officials say four of those injured are believed to have non-life-threatening injuries and one person was transported for evaluation.

Officers believe one vehicle rear-ended another which then struck a third. The crash is still under investigation.
