54th street homicide

Washington, DC - Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 300 block of 54th Street, Northeast.

On Saturday around 2:57 a.m., officers were dispatched for the report of a shooting. When officers arrived they found an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead and transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner pending an autopsy.

The decedent has been identified as 26 year-old Kenneth Earl Watson, Jr of Northeast, D.C.
