4 arrested in 10 armed robberies of 7-Elevens in Maryland
HYATTSVILLE, Md. - Four suspects have been charged in connection with several armed robberies in Prince George's County and authorities said they're linked to other crimes in the area.
The robbers targeted 10 different 7-Elevens in Prince George's, Anne Arundel, and Montgomery counties.
Prince George's County Police said they arrested the suspects after their latest robbery early Friday morning in the 6200 block of Suitland Road and recovered two handguns.
The arrests come after detectives identified a car possibly linked to one of the suspects.
Authorities named the suspects as Tyrone Murphy, Leighton Williams, Khiry Banks, and his brother Kione Banks.
Murphy, Williams, and Khiry Banks were charged in connection with all cases in question and remain in custody. Kione Banks was charged with the robbery on Suitland Road only. He has since posted bond.
