3 workers injured in DC building collapse, officials say

Three people have been injured after a building collapsed in the District on Friday.

DC firefighters said the building collapsed in the 1500 block of North Capitol Street near the border of Northwest and Northeast.

Officials said the building appeared to be having construction work performed when a partial standing wall fell onto a trench where workers were located.

Two workers were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries and one worker suffered minor injuries, according to officials.
