270 northbound in Montgomery County now open after recycling truck fire

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - I-270 northbound from Old Georgetown Road to the Montrose Road exit has re-opened after a vehicle fire Wednesday afternoon.

Multiple lanes were shut down after the contents of the vehicle were removed while crews worked to extinguish the fire.

They have not said what caused the fire.
