22-year-old man shot, killed in DC
WASHINGTON - A 22-year-old man was shot and killed early Sunday morning in D.C.
According to officials, D.C. Police got reports of gunshots around 2:42 a.m. near Nicholson Street and Kensington Place NE. When they responded to the area, they were flagged down in 400 block of Riggs Road, where they found Marcellus Thomas, 22, of Northeast D.C., according to officials. Thomas was unconscious and was suffering from a gunshot wound, according to officials. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Officials have not released any suspect information at this time.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
