2016 National Cherry Blossom Festival dates announced

WASHINGTON - While most of us are focusing on the bitter cold and the snowstorm expected this weekend, there is a reminder that spring is just a couple of months away.

The dates for the National Cherry Blossom Festival have just been announced.

The 2016 festival will run March 20 to April 17, which spans four weekends. The opening ceremony will be Saturday, March 26 and the parade is Saturday, April 16.
