RESTON, Va. - Fairfax County police say they are still looking for a suspected driver after a teenage boy was struck and killed Saturday night.
Family and friends of 16-year-old Daniel Serrano say the teenager was on his way home from work crossing eastbound South Lakes Drive at Castle Rock Square when he was hit by a car.
Police say the driver that hit him didn't stop.
Daniel's family says he worked hard to help his family, working as a cashier at a restaurant in Reston.
Daniel's co-workers tell FOX 5 he went to South Lakes High School just down the street from the crosswalk where he was hit.
Loved ones just gathered at the intersection to pay respects, putting up a cross with his name on it. They want the person responsible found.
Officials say they're looking for a small sedan, that may possibly be gray or silver, with significant front-end damage.
Anyone with information that could aid detectives in their investigation is urged to call (703) 691-2131.
