1 killed in Springfield crash, Fairfax County police say

SPRINGFIELD, Va. - One person is dead after a violent crash in Fairfax County on Tuesday, according to officials.

Fairfax County police said the crash involving two cars happened on Alban Road near Rolling Road in Springfield, Virginia at about 8:30 a.m.

Authorities said one person was killed and another suffered minor injuries.

Alban Road was closed in both directions as detectives investigated the scene. No other details were available at this time.
