1 dead after car crashes into utility pole in Charles County

SAINT CHARLES, Md. - One person is dead and three others were hospitalized with serious injuries after a vehicle struck a utility pole in Charles County.

The accident happened along Piney Church Road in Saint Charles just after 8 a.m. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Piney Church Road is closed in both directions between Poston Drive and Renner Road at this time.
