Temperatures rising into the 50s today in the DMV

WASHINGTON - After a chilly start, Christmas week’s quiet and unseasonably mild weather will continue on Thursday.

You’ll need to break out the scrapers this morning after an overnight frost, but the frigid temperatures should dissipate by late morning.

Temperatures are expected to climb into the 50s, and the air will stay dry.

Clouds will roll in Friday, and showers are possible at the end of the weekend.
