Capitals bringing Stanley Cup to Saturday's Nationals game; Ovechkin to throw out first pitch

Can't wait to see the Stanley Cup -- and your Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals -- with your own eyes? Your chance may come sooner than you think.

While the team was still en route back from Las Vegas after their big win over the Golden Knights Thursday, they tweeted a tease that will make some local baseball fans with tickets to Saturday's Washington Nationals game very happy.

"Hey @Nationals fans, is it cool if we bring the @StanleyCup to the ballpark tomorrow? Looking forward to celebrating with you all before first pitch!" the team tweeted Friday afternoon.

It was later announced that the entire team, the coaching staff and Capitals owner Ted Leonsis will be honored Saturday before Nationals face off against the San Francisco Giants at 12:05 p.m. at Nationals Park.

Conn Smythe winner Alex Ovechkin will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

If you can't make that, all Capitals fans are invited to the official Stanley Cup Championship parade, which is planned for Tuesday at 11 a.m. Click here for more details.
