Bryce Harper, Vegas Golden Knights fan, tweets congratulations to Capitals on Stanley Cup victory

Bryce Harper, who shamelessly flaunted his support for the Vegas Golden Knights, posted a tweet Thursday congratulating the Washington Capitals after they won the Stanley Cup championship. His first tweet came just after the team won. He said, "Congrats not only to the @Capitals and the players, but to the whole City of DC. What a year, what a series, and so well deserved! The Cup is coming to town! @Holts170 you are an absolute stud!🔥 #DMV"

About 30 minutes later, Harper tweeted, "I think it would only be fitting for us the @Nationals to rock the red tmrw night in support of the @Capitals winning the Cup! What do you say? #DMVfamily"

There was mixed reaction to his tweets online. Some congratulated the Golden Knights and Harper on a great first season. Others posted support for Harper and hopes that the Nationals can replicate the success the Capitals had in winning a championship. Others mocked Harper by posting photos of him sporting a Golden Knights jersey.

Harper stayed true to his hometown team. After congratulating the Capitals he tweeted support for the Golden Knights saying, "#GoKnightsGo."
