OXON HILL, Md. - The Maryland Office of the Attorney General’s Independent Investigations Division is looking into a fatal police-involved pedestrian crash that occurred in Prince George’s County Saturday night.

What we know:
Authorities say the incident began in a parking lot on Oxon Hill Road when officers discovered a stolen car linked to an earlier carjacking.
A woman attempted to leave the lot before crashing the vehicle.
Then, the woman jumped out of the car, ran away, and was struck by two passing cars while crossing I-495. She died on the highway.
The drivers of both cars were not injured.
What we don't know:
Investigations by Maryland State Police are ongoing, and the woman's identity will be released in the coming days. At this time, it's unclear whether the woman is a suspect in the carjacking. Police have not released details regarding where or when the vehicle was initially stolen or if there are other suspects involved.
