Woman arrested in Manassas Food Lion murder
CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. - Officials have arrested a woman they believe was involved in the murder of a man outside of a Food Lion in Manassas.
23-year-old Roberta Edlina Brandon of Woodbridge was arrested Friday at a home on Addison Rd in Capitol Heights, Maryland.
Brandon and another man were involved in a fight with the victim, Cordrey Douglas Jackson, 24, of Dumfries, at around 7:30 p.m, according to officials. Investigators believe Brandon shot Jackson in the parking lot of the store. Jackson was taken to a nearby hospital but later died. Officers believe all three people involved were known to each other.
She is being charged with murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and her court date is pending. Brandon will remain in in custody in Maryland until extradited back to Virginia.
